Tucker named Carle Hoopeston Hospital Administrator
Heather Tucker, MSN, RN-BC, has been named hospital administrator, which includes overseeing daily operations for the 25-bed critical Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center. She began her career at Carle in 2006 as a float nurse, gaining experience in many areas of medicine including ambulatory oncology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, allergy and cardiology. She gained experience in several areas including inpatient nursing and primary care, transitioning into management and leadership roles, most recently serving as director, Primary Care Services for the east region and interim hospital administrator.
Her interim role now permanent, she will collaborate with leadership in Medical Surgery, Emergency Department, Facilities, Radiology and Laboratory Services, Pharmacy, Purchasing and Supply, Therapy Services and Hospitalist Service.
Tucker received her Master of Science in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Lakeview College of Nursing. She is a member of American Nurses Association.
Tucker is a lifelong resident of Vermilion County and is active in Work Source Enterprises as a staff educator and a member of the Human Rights Committee.
