Christie Clinic welcomes Ahmed to Department of Cardiology
Christie Clinic is welcoming Dr. Adeeb Ahmed to the Department of Cardiology. Ahmed is seeing patients at 101 W. University Ave, in Champaign. The cardiology specialists diagnose and treat diseases of the heart and blood vessels using cardiac diagnostic exams and testing for common cardiovascular conditions.
Ahmed completed his categorical internal medicine internship at the University of Pittsburgh-McKeesport and residency in neurology, internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine from Medical College of Georgia. Following his cardiovascular medicine fellowship, he went on to complete his interventional cardiology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad, India.
Ahmed has practiced interventional cardiology since 2004. He is board certified by American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology.
Ahmed is a fellow of American College of Cardiology, Society of Coronary Angiography and Interventions, American College of Physicians and American College of Chest Physicians. He is also a member of American Academy of Neurology. His interests include preventive cardiology, sports cardiology, geriatric cardiology, cardio-oncology, cardiovascular disease during pregnancy, adults with congenital heart disease and interventional cardiology.
