Young Entrepreneur Program

The Young Entrepreneur Program (YEP) is an award-winning innovative curriculum that seeks to engage empower and educate Champaign County high school students through entrepreneurship. YEP is for teens who thrive in hands-on learning environments, march to the beat of their own drum and are always looking for a new challenge. Participants will be asked to create a small business over the course of two sessions in the fall and spring. The program culminates in a pitch competition, where participants have the opportunity to compete for prize money to seed their new venture. Students have the option to participate in a weekly co-working and mentorship meeting on the Mondays when formal meetings are not scheduled. Participants will look at how to find authoritative industry reports, including statistics trends market share information and key business ratios. Registration is recommended. Part of the Market Research 101 Workshop Series.
