Brrrrrrrrrrrr, it's cold outside!
Soon, it will warmer, and homeowners will be ready to make improvements. The home improvement industry is what we're featuring in this issue of Central Illinois Business.
We started our quest in Farmer City at Cabinetland. There are extraordinary innovations in the world of cabinetry. Everything from toe-kick drawers, pull-downs and blind corner turn-outs had this daughter of a carpenter amazed.
Next, we went out to Apollo Drive in Champaign to Flooring Surfaces. Their company head, Kevin Applebee, is a constant thinker: always improving, coming up with ideas and walking in his customers' shoes when it comes to flooring. He's done well, too.
We visited a small design company that does amazing interiors next out in Savoy. Draperies & Interiors had me catching my breath at the possibilities this company can provide. Wow.
Another small company we've featured is Greg Allen Roofing out of Deland. We had major hail damage in my neck of the woods a few years back. Greg's roof repairs were the best on our block. He's worth a look.
The technical side of home improvements, to me, is the most fun. I love my wireless PC, tablet, cellphone and TV! II-VI Epiworks, a major player in the technology industry, is right here in CU, and we were fortunate to get a little facetime with the owners of the company.
What if your idea of home improvement is to get all packed up and move? We thought of that, too. You will be surprised at all of the services that Hutchcraft Van Services can offer you.
As always, I am thankful for your readership.
My very best to you and yours,
