Carle appoints new system chief operating officer
Carle has named Matthew Kolb, JD, MHA, as executive vice president and system chief operating officer for the Carle health system.
Kolb was previously executive vice president and chief administrative officer overseeing Management and Analytics, Information Technology, Virtual Health and Innovation. He has served in a variety of medical and administrative leadership positions since joining Carle in 2014. Kolb will continue to work as dyad partner with chief medical officer Charles Dennis, MD.
He further developed and grew several of Carle’s specialty institutes, advanced Health Alliance’s provider network, and most recently led innovative, system level changes aimed at redefining healthcare.
Kolb served in leadership roles at Allina Health System in Minneapolis for seven years prior to joining Carle. Since joining Carle, he served in many leadership positions, including being a member of the Carle health system board of directors Rural Alliance Board Committee. He received his Juris Doctor from University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, Master of Health Administration from University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, Bachelor of Arts from University of Illinois at Urbana.
